A software engineer and a passionate follower of the open source movement, Prosenjit, takes a fresh and honest look at the latest happenings in the world of software and analyzes the potential effects of these developments in our lives.
Prosenjit has been working with software ever since he was introduced to computers during his early school days. Starting with BASIC and Logo, he soon graduated to C, C++ and Java. At the moment he concentrates on designing enterprise solutions on the JEE platform. An ardent supporter of open source, Prosenjit contributes to the community through his open source projects – JavaTrace and Dissect Framework – hosted on SourceForge. He has also played the role of Technical Reviewer for the Pro Java EE Spring Patterns book from Apress authored by Dhrubojyoti Kayal. His enthusiasm about open source has earned him the sobriquet of open source evangelist amongst his acquaintances. Working for companies like BEA Systems, Oracle Corporation and IBM, has enriched his experience and honed him into a thoroughbred software professional.

A very good blog and well written blog. I am a Microsoft systems engineer who converted to Ubuntu some time ago and who is now getting back to his humanistic and arts hobbies (where I came from). I like Ubuntu so much. Recently, the only reason I got back to XP for my desktop activities (I retired from the IT profession) is the poor support of video card drivers which made my eyes a bit sore (something not to underestimate, since I am 60). But I LOVE Linux nonetheless, I continue using it and hope it will progress even more in the future!
All my best regards

Hi there!
You have an interesting blog, keep it up! I am not entirely at home with software engineering, but I like reading about Macs in general, and your point of view seems different than what I have read elsewhere.
Keep us updated!

You have a very busy and exciting blog, and we love commenting and making it a big success. I also noticed that you’re a software engineer which is what I do too
Nice blog and interesting topics…keep it up.
Good site, admin.
I looked at the cards and at the first glimpse my impression was: a reflecting pool, or mirror perhaps. ,
